Who do we help?
Dr. Derek Nielsen, PT, DPT
We've made the process super easy for you. You can simply fill out this form and we'll give you a call (typically same day) to schedule an appointment. During this initial call we will ask you some questions about your problem to make sure we're the best fit prior to scheduling your initial appointment.
You can also call the clinic at (919) 823-3852 to speak with one of our staff.
We help people stay active and get out of pain without pain meds, cortisone injections, and surgery.
We're the clinic people come to after they have failed traditional physical therapy or chiropractic.
Many of the clients who come to us have been frustrated by pain for longer than a year.
I wrote an entire page about what makes us different but then realized it's just best if you come in and feel the difference.
This is exactly why we offer a $49.00 first visit. And even better than that, if you're not 100% satisfied with your visit then you don't pay anything.
We're ready to help you!
It really depends on how many body parts we're treating. Many times (most times) pain felt in one area is caused by problems occurring in multiple areas.
For example, shoulder pain is typically associated with stiff or weak joints at the neck, shoulder, and mid-spine. Lower back pain is typically associated with stiff or weak joints at the hip and spine....so on and so forth.
Achieving a long-term solution to pain requires a full-body approach.
With that said, our average client is seen between 6-10 total visits.
Yes, we do. It's not a guarantee that we will get you out of pain (that's literally illegal) — It's a guarantee that you'll be satisfied with us.
We genuinely want to you help you get out of pain without pain meds, steroid injections, and surgery, and when we fail doing so it literally makes us sad.
Fortunately, we rarely can't help the people who come for treatment. I'm not saying that we can help everyone, but we have clearly identified those who are the right fit for our treatment approach and turn away those who aren't.
We also offer an initial treatment visit for only $49.00. By the end of this visit we can be nearly certain that our approach is, or isn't, the best approach for your problem.
And like every visit, if you're not happy with your initial $49.00 visit, then don't pay.
We accept Medicare and are out-of-network will all other insurances.
If we are out-of-network with your insurance then we'll provide you with a receipt and an easy way to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
We do accept HSA/FSA payments.
We will also help you understand your insurance benefits if you're not sure what is covered.
Our priority is to help you get out of pain without surgery, cortisone injections, and pain meds. And that means we work for you and not the insurance company. We can't prioritize you as much as what's needed if we work for the insurance company.
If you have more questions or concerns about this please feel free to ask.
This absolutely depends on your insurance plan. If you're uncertain about what's covered we're happy to check your benefits and explain them to you.
No, you do not. North Carolina is a direct access state and referral is unnecessary.
You can expect us to assess the entire body so we can learn what's causing your pain, what needs to be fixed, and roughly how long it's going to take.
We will also provide you with 1-3 personalized techniques to start relieving the pain. Fortunately, all of the techniques we prescribe are pre-video recorded with simple step-by-step instructions that we email to you after your visit. That way you know exactly what needs to be done.
Most of our clients start to experience an improvement in symptoms following the first visit.
Always in person. We've considered trying Telehealth appointments (especially with Covid-19), but our clients outcomes would suffer.
All appointments are one-on-one with you and a doctor of physical therapy. Rarely will you ever see any other person during any of your sessions.
We need to see you in person to provide you with the best outcome. We wouldn't help a family member through video, therefore, we're not going to submit you to the same approach.
One. You are always seen by yourself with a doctor of physical therapy. In fact, you'll never be passed from provider to provider. The doctor you see on your initial visit is the doctor you'll work with throughout your entire treatment plan.
This is the only way to provide you with the fastest and best outcome.
